These Terms and Conditions outline the responsibilities of both the adopter and OKAY Animals to ensure every dog finds a loving, safe, and suitable forever home. By proceeding with an adoption, you agree to the following:
You must be over 18 years of age to adopt a dog from OKAY Animals.
All household members must agree to the adoption and be prepared to support the care of the adopted pet.
If you are renting your home, written permission from your landlord must be provided.
You agree to a home check (virtual or in-person) as part of the adoption process.
You agree to provide a loving, safe, and secure home for the dog, including proper food, water, shelter, exercise, and medical care.
The dog must live indoors as a family companion and must not be kept outside, chained, or left unattended for extended periods.
You agree to provide regular veterinary care, including vaccinations, flea/tick/worm treatments, and annual checkups.
The dog may not be used for breeding or sold/given away to a third party. If you can no longer care for the dog, you must contact OKAY Animals first.
You understand that rescue dogs may need time to adjust to their new home and routines. This may include training, socialisation, and patience with behavioural issues.
OKAY Animals provides ongoing support and advice during the adjustment period.
You agree to pay the adoption fee, which contributes to the costs of rescue, vet care, transportation, and fostering.
All adopted dogs will be microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered (if age-appropriate) prior to adoption or as part of an adoption agreement for later neutering.
You will receive relevant medical records and a copy of the adoption agreement upon completion.
OKAY Animals may request post-adoption check-ins to ensure the dog is settling in well and being properly cared for.
Support and advice are always available — we’re here to help you and your new pet succeed.
OKAY Animals reserves the right to decline any application if it is deemed not in the best interest of the dog.
In cases of neglect, mistreatment, or breach of this agreement, OKAY Animals retains the right to reclaim the dog.
By submitting your application and proceeding with adoption, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the above terms and conditions.
