Antonia and Luminita founded OKAY Animals with one simple, powerful goal: to give forgotten dogs in Romania a second chance at life. Both women witnessed first-hand the heartbreaking conditions many street dogs face — from hunger and neglect to the constant risk of abuse. Driven by compassion and a deep belief that every dog deserves a safe, loving home, they joined forces to create a rescue that connects these vulnerable animals with forever families in the UK.
What started as a small effort to save a few lives has grown into a full charity operation built on trust, transparency, and tireless dedication. Antonia manages the UK side, supporting foster carers and adopters every step of the way, while Luminita works on the ground in Romania, coordinating rescue efforts, vet care, and transport. Together, they form a bridge between two countries — and in doing so, they give hundreds of dogs the chance to go from overlooked to over-loved.
Antonia is a Managing Director but is also dedicated to rehoming pets in the UK, working closely with Romanian dog shelters.
Luminita is a Lawyer living in Romania, working on the ground to take pets off the streets and place them into shelters.
